Grilled Buffalo Chicken Burgers

I was craving buffalo chicken wings this weekend so I decided to try this and see how it came out.. I loved it and I hope you do too!

Buffalo Chicken Burger – Recipe follows

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • About 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Sauce or sauce of your choice
  • 1-2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Cook onions and garlic in olive oil and butter for 2-3 minutes or until soft. Let onions and garlic cool for several minutes. Combine ground chicken, cooked onions and garlic and 1/4 cup Buffalo Sauce and mix until combined. Heat outdoor/indoor grill. Make chicken patties sized to your desire. I made 4 chicken patties with one pound of ground chicken using a burger press and cooked on an outdoor grill 5 minutes per side with grill covered. Serve on a bun with ranch or blue cheese dressing. I topped mine with plain yogurt to stick to my diet and healthy eating habits.
